Kevin Williamson, Dawson’s Creek series creator, is back on the CW. Williamson will be writing and producing a new show called, The Vampire Diaries, for next season. Williamson (most famous for Creek) has also wrote I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scream, among other films.

Williamson has been trying to come back to the small screen for a couple of years. However, most of his pilots and projects haven’t made it past the initial filming. The CW is really banking in on the Twilight phenom. Everyone is trying to profit from this trend.

The Vampire Diaries, is centered on two vampire brothers vying for the same woman and, again, the cast is very good-looking. But, despite the attractive nature of the casts, and the seemingly glamorous worlds that surround most of them, which is in keeping with Gossip Girl and 90210, Ostroff said each series was distinct tonally. The Vampire Diaries is set in a small town, and the models in The Beautiful Life hail from Middle America and are struggling to make it in the New York rat race, she said.
